The Credentialing Specialist will manage the full lifecycle of provider enrollment, re-credentialing, payer communication, and regulatory documentation. The position plays a critical role in ensuring uninterrupted provider participation with insurance networks, accurate billing workflows, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Provider Credentialing & Enrollment

Process initial credentialing, re-credentialing, and provider enrollment for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance payers

Maintain up-to-date credentialing files, licenses, certifications, and regulatory documents

Manage CAQH profiles and ensure compliance with payer-specific requirements

Handle DEA registrations, professional license renewals, and controlled substance documentation

Monitor credential expiration dates and complete revalidation within deadlines
Revenue Cycle & Compliance Support

Work closely with billing and revenue cycle teams to resolve credentialing-related denials and authorization delays

Ensure provider data accuracy across CAQH, PECOS, NPPES, CMS, and internal systems

Maintain a centralized credentialing tracker to monitor provider status and payer participation

Assist in compliance audits, documentation reviews, and regulatory reporting
Operational Coordination

Coordinate hospital credentialing and provider privilege processes

Communicate with insurance payers to follow up on applications and approvals

Support administrative tasks that improve workflow efficiency and reimbursement timelines
Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience in medical billing, credentialing, or healthcare administration (preferred)

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

Good written and verbal English communication

Ability to work in the US time zone when required
